I was 197lb at 5’4” throwing up every day due to a bleeding ulcer. In addition to waking up every morning and vomiting blood, the ulcer also left me with constant pain in my stomach throughout the day. I also suffered from “IBS” or irritable bowel syndrome. This resulted in frequent visits to the bathroom with, what can best be described as, explosive diarrhea. This is no fun at all when they are separate, let alone paired together. I decided that enough was enough and I was going to feel better no matter what. This is when I decided to cut out everything in a box, bag, or pre wrapped container, and take my health seriously. Since then I have lost 70lbs and said goodbye to my ulcer and IBS. Amid my health journey I lost someone very close to me. My whole world changed after this. My life was turned upside down but the one thing that kept me going was the gym. I did spend more time than I would like to admit crying through cardio but being at the gym every morning saved me and helped me process so much loss. That was almost 3 years ago this year. It can most definitely help you process more than fat or trauma; it can prepare you for life. I want to take what I have learned and help others like myself or people in similar situations get their health and hope that they deserve!
